Apple iPad Air 3 Release Moved in 2016 in Favor of iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro; A9X Chip, 2K Res. with 3D Display Among Top Specs

By

During Apple's annual conference the latest iPad Mini 4 and the iPad Pro were released but fans have noticed that the new iPad Air 3 was not mentioned. It is said that the iPad Air 3 was dropped to give favor for the iPad Pro.

IT Pro reports that the latest iPad Air 3 will have a bump in resolution up to 2334 x 3112 pixels at around 401ppi with its retained 9.7in display size. However, its battery size could be decreased, in line with the new iPhones, too. This device will also arrive having a thinner chassis or probably even an IPX7 waterproofing certificate, as well.

According to Latino Post, an A9X chipset, a 2K resolution with 3D display will be built for the upcoming iPad Air 3 that will be the successor of the Air 2. When it comes to the photography department, this device was reported to sport a 13MP main camera.

Last September 9, 2015, Apple's failure to unveil its new iPad Air 3 along with the iPad Mini 4 and iPad Pro has not gone overlooked. Therefore, this moment has led the Apple fans to speculate that the high-end tablet could not be seen this year after all, writes Yibada.

The idea that the tech company avoids the latest iPad Air to serve as a challenger of its most powerful and pretty larger sibling, iPad Pro, as well as the smaller iPad Mini 4 is now being considered as Apple's good reason for delaying the release of the iPad Air 3 in 2016.

As for the price, it is said that the iPad Air 3 entry level model usually bears a price tag that starts at £399 at launch. Nevertheless, the latest iPad Air 3 is claimed of possibly having a different price. The price might come a little over £400 if this tablet's entry level jumps to 32GB.
