Xenoblade Chronicles X, a new open-world RPG, developed by Monolith Soft, is going to be released soon. The game allows a player to create one's own character and play in an extensive open world which is five times bigger than that of Xenoblade Chronicles. One combats an enemy through giant weaponized mechs called Skells, which would require training in order to be piloted and unlocked.
Xenoblade Chronicles X Survival Guide is a five-part video series which would assist a player to play through the planet Mira and defend the remaining population from the warfare of two battling alien races. Digital Spy reports that the latest part of the video talks about Skells, the game's giant weaponized mechs. Skells are utilized in the game as a transforming exoskeleton in order to battle enemies as well as the perilous wildlife of the planet Mira. The Skells are heavily armed with powerful weapons and lets a player access every location sight. The video teaches a player how to unlock a Skell as well.
Before piloting a Skell, a player should first be able to go through and complete an eight-part crash course in Skell combat. Once a player completes the course, he earns a Skell Pilot License and pilot the ultimate weaponized mech. Armed with eight weapons, these exoskeletons also transforms into walker and vehicle mode. Skells come as Light, Medium, or Heavy. Nintendo Insider reports that each Skell classification has its advantages and disadvantages.
Torn between an intergalactic war with a variety of hostile wildlife in the refuge planet of Mira, Xenoblade Chronicles X prompts a player to master deeply strategic real time battle system. A player's avatar can switch between battle classes during combat, while one must also focus on necessities of survival outside combat, as described by Develop.

Monolith Soft's Xenoblade Chronicles X is now available in Japan for Nintendo WiiU. North American and European releases will follow on December 4.
