When it comes to display and design, the OnePlus X gives a refined and polished metal frame and glass casing that delivers a premium look. This handset has a 5-inch full HD screen that is packed with 441 ppi that create absolutely stunning pictures. Meanwhile, the screen resolution is same for Moto X, but the display size is a bit larger at 5.5 inches.
The OnePlus X is armed with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with flash and an 8-megapixel front snapper. On the other hand, the Moto X Play has a more powerful rear-facing camera at 21 megapixels which also has a stronger flash, and a 5-megapixel front shooter.
As for the software, the OnePlus X uses OxygenOS while the Moto X uses the Android 5.1.1 operating system, ensuring its handlers good performance and operation. The OnePlus X is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad core processor and is engineered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset inside. Its rival, Moto X, is armed with a 1.7 GHz octa core processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset.
Also, OnePlus X has 3 GB of RAM which definitely makes this handset excels over Moto X Play in speed. Moreover, both of these devices have same internal storage capacities.
OnePlus X is powered by a 2,525mAh capacity battery that provides its users a day with mixed usage on a single charge. On the other hand, Moto X Play is packed with a bigger 3,630mAh capacity battery with fast charging ability and also manages to conquer more than a day with selected settings.
The OnePlus X comes in two variants: the Onyx (glass) variant which costs Rs. 16,999 and the limited edition ceramic variant which costs Rs. 22,999. Both models are accessible via 'invites-only' and is exclusive through Amazon. Meanwhile, the 16GB Moto X Play costs Rs. 18,499 and the 32GB model costs Rs. 19,999. Moto X Play is available on Flipkart and does not require invites.
Based on the above mentioned specs and features, the OnePlus X and Moto X Play indeed gives each other a competitive battle. However, it's still up to the user to choose which one appears to be better based on his or her necessities.
