Pokemon Go and the persistenly rumored Pokemon Z are among Nintendo's highly anticipated titles coming out next year. Fans might receive some big announcement from the well-known publisher sooner than expected as suggested in the recent issue of popular Japanese magazine, CoroCoro.
Nintendo Life wrote that November edition of CoroCoro revealed that a big Pokémon announcement is happening this December and adding that the comic book publication will have the first exclusive details which might pertain to either the highly rumored Pokemon Z release or to the augmented reality mobile game, Pokemon Go.
Conventionally, CoroCoro magazine publishes Pokémon comic strips every month and on several ocassions, leaks some exciting news and screenshots for upcoming Pokémon games, the latest of which was a few months ago when it revealed new Zygarde forms. Latino Post reports that fans can mark their calendar on December 15 to hear the big Pokémon announcement from Nintendo particuarly surrounding the sequel game to Pokemon X & Y, Pokemon Z.
Meanwhile, Pokémon Go was initially announced in September to be in development by augmented-reality game maker, Niantic, Inc and financed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, and Google. The free mobile game app will enable Pokemon enthusiasts to find, capture, trade and battle Pokémons in real world and in real-time.
As what Niantic's CEO John Hanke put it, "For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon Go will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world."
Unfortunately, no solid release date has been confirmed at the time being but there are some who claim that the new mobile game will hit Android and iOS in early 2016. This report was uncovered from a YouTube video posted by an unofficial Pokémon GO channel where it revealed Feb. 27, 2016 as official launching date. The said date marks Nintendo's Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green's 20th anniversary. These two original games were released by Nintendo on GameBoy Feb. 27, 1996 which had set the beginning of the massively popular franchise in the history of video gaming.
The Pokémon Go and Pokemon Z could either or both be released in celebration to mark another new milestone for Nintendo in 2016. Stay tuned.
