Elite Dangerous Horizons SRV Features Detailed by Frontier Developments; Vehicle Shown in New Footage

By

Frontier Developments' Elite Dangerous: Horizons has recently been discussed thoroughly, with regards to the game's features that will make the title a much more interesting one. Now, new attributes for the game will be showcased, allowing players to make the best out of every game.

According to PC Gamer, a new footage of Elite Dangerous: Horizons has emerged recently, and the said video is not one to set aside-players will want to take note that the said trailer highlights the rather utilizable SRV. The Surface Recon Vehicle is one feature that offers more than just transportation, and Frontier Developments is ready to discuss the maximum potential of the particular wheelie.

Delivered by PC GamesN, the Surface Recon Vehicle was said to be able to get a good glimpse of the enormous spacecraft in the latest footage. The ability of the SRV to loiter around in an airless environment is not the only notable feature that should be put into account. If a player dies while riding the vehicle, the player will automatically be transported back to the ship and will need to use another SRV to continue.

Gamers may worry about going back to the previous SRV that was left behind, but Sandro Sammarco, Elite Dangerous: Horizons Lead Designer, guarantees that the vehicles are indeed, disposable, and reacquiring another does not come at a high cost. The SRV holds quite an advantage, but it is not entirely a perfect addition; as it does have a few things to consider before and during the trekking.

As reported by iDigital Times, Sammarco stated that despite the sturdy being of the buggy, it still is prone to attack at some point. Though it may not be able to guarantee safety entirely, it will surely take a player back to the ship if circumstances occur and the spacecraft would be distant.

In general, the Surface Recon Vehicle has benefits here and there, and compared to the cost of a more massive ship, it is still rather bearable and can be bought with a reasonable number of credits. The SRV comes in handy when picking up resources, scouting and roving, and getting to the spacecraft when things get a bit rough. Stay tuned for more updates on Elite Dangerous: Horizons.
