Nintendo will release the original generation of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow for Nintendo 3DS to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Pokemon fanatics will see the first generation of Pokemon games via the 3DS eShop.

"The games remain true to the originals-complete with monochromatic pixel art and 4-bit background music-so you can feel as though you're experiencing these games just as they were back then!" Pokémon website reads.

This serves as their invitation for people to join millions of Pokemon fans everywhere who already experienced the classic original Pokémon games. They also teased players that these titles will run smoothly with wireless communication which is totally impossible in the past.

"In the days of the Game Boy, players had to use a Link Cable to connect with friends, but these games will use the Nintendo 3DS system's wireless capabilities to allow you to trade and battle Pokémon in just the same way."

IB Times reported that all the three games can be downloaded on February 27, 2016. This is exactly twenty years from the day the Japanese release the first Pokémon Red and Blue or Green in Japan. Yellow simply followed after a few years and it tied closer to the popular Pokemoncartoon series.

The Pokémon series is expected to enjoy a big year in 2016 as it celebrate its 20th anniversary. Many old-school Pokemon fans will be brought back to the past with Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow in an old fashion just like the way they are back in 1998.

The Internet connection of Nintendo 3D has been tweaked in order to enable multiplayer interactions, said Techno Buffalo.Players will be able to catch the original 152 Pokemon which includes Missingno and Mew without the Game Boy Link Cable for battle and trade purposes.

Many old-school gamers did not see this coming. With much excitement, they believe that Pokémon's 20th year anniversary will be big with Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow coming to Nintendo 3DS.
