YG Entertainment is busy as ever promoting its old and new groups to be on the limelight. Producing some of K-Pop's power groups, receiving international fame like the company's best act, Big Bang, the agency has a lot of expectation to fulfill.

As of late, fans are dying to know the new girl group that YG will unveil. As this Korean agency is famous for its unique groups with over the top idol images, there have been a lot of queries and theories guessing how the new group is going to be.

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk, also known as YG, has already addressed this exciting news revealing that the still unnamed girl group is under preparation. While it was initially reported that the new female act was supposed to make their debut before September of this year, it seems that it's delayed to a possible debut next year.

Also, YG confirmed that the female group will have five or less members and it includes trainee, Kim Jisoo.

Kim Jisoo is purportedly going to be the mystery girl group's main vocals and visual. She's been in multiple pre-debut appearances already including a cameo appearance in hit Korean TV drama "Producer" and a music video co-starring Lee Min Ho.

Rumors also tell that YG Entertainment's highly anticipated girl group is bound to face off with rival JYP's newest female group, Twice, which is apparently taking the limelight for rookie girl groups.

Meanwhile, the agency's boy group, iKON, that recently debuted is having a blast and is currently taking the No. 1 spot in rookie boy groups' category in the MNET Asian Music Awards.

While YG's best act remains to be Big Bang, iKON could very well be following its superior's footsteps. Bigger expectations are set for the new group, especially so when Big Bang's members are set for military enlistment. So while the King group is away, YG has already prepared a Prince group to follow, along with its labelmate Winner.

And if allegations that YG's Queen group, 2NE1, will disband soon is true, fans' anticipation is doubling for the fresh faces of the new girl group bound to take the throne.
