In the previous episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live, a parody of Scandal starring the show’s cast members has been featured as a four-part series. Meanwhile, series creator and showrunner Shonda Rhimes talked about the ending of the hot political drama in a report.
Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show has spoofed Scandal just recently, dubbing the four-part series, “Scandal High”.
“Before she had all this success, Shonda created a teen drama. They only shot four episodes. It was never picked up," Kimmel teased about his own take on the ABC drama.
According to E! Online, the never-before-seen footage featured Olivia Pope and co. portraying high schoolers, with Kerry Washington playing the role of the Queen Bee.
The funny clip also tackled an intense competition between President Fitz and David Rosen as they battle for the campus’ presidential post.
In other Scandal news, Shonda Rhimes has admitted that she has already mapped out the final act of the series. While it’s only the fifth season, Rhimes sounds pretty certain about how the fate of Olivia and Fitz will conclude in the future. However, her words are still pretty ambiguous at this point.
“Scandal, I know where it ends. I know exactly where it begins and where it ends,” the uber-producer has shared in a report from Vulture.
Next Thursday’s episode titled “Baby It’s Cold Outside” will mark the show’s winter finale and as expected, things will only intensify. As for Olivia (Kerry Washington), viewers will find her deeply frustrated as she embraces her role as First Lady inside the White House. Elsewhere, Jake (Scott Foley) and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) will resume their mission to track down Papa Pope.
