The American historical drama television series The Bastard Executioner Season 1 finale 'Blood and Quiescence/Crau a Chwsg' ended well with all the characters. In the finale, Annora and the Dark Mute hold the church's dark secrets. The series cast was still unaware of the future of the series until Kurt Sutter posted the ad on his Twitter account.

The Season 1 finale of The Bastard Executioner, it has been revealed that Annora of the Alders (Katey Sagal) and The Dark Mute (Kurt Sutter) carry the secrets of the church. The ancient scripts were told could put the whole belief of the church into doubts and peril. The rescue of Luca Maddox (Ethan Griffiths) and Father Ruskin (Timothy V. Murphy) carefully planned by Wilkin Brattle (Lee Jones), Baroness Love (Flora Spencer-Longhurst), and Milus Corbett (Stephen Moyer) was equal to saving Annora and the scripts.

The show ended well, IGN published, with Milus approved Love's miscarriage plans, Love and Wilkin ending in each other's arms, Toran Prichard (Sam Spruell) and Locke (Ross O'Hennessy) face to face battle (unfortunately for Toran was defeated), Jessamy Maddox (Sarah Sweeney) confined in a mental ward, the acceptance of everyone in regards to Wilkin's secret, and everyone got their revenge.

The Season finale ended well and no cliffhangers were left behind to keep the viewers guessing. The Hollywood Reporter interviewed the series creator Kurt Sutter regarding his cancellation ad posted on Twitter. According to Sutter, the decision was heartbreaking and with agreement with FX Network CEO John Landgraf as the series decreased viewership during its first six weeks on the air. He added that the entire cast and several production staff were unaware of the cancellation until his twitter post.

The Bastard Executioner debuted last 15 September with 2.11 million viewers in contrast to its dwindled succeeding episodes of below one million viewership. The finale season drew only 0.8 ratings, TV by the Numbers Zap It reported.

As of this time, it is not yet revealed whether The Bastard Executioner will get season 2 as Suttter is currently working on a Mayan based version of Sons of Anarchy spinoff set to air also on FX.
