In the coming episode 3 of "Elementary" Season 4, Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) will find a way to get his father leave New York City for good. Meanwhile, Holmes and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) investigates a double murder of two men who look alike.
In this episode titled "Tag, You're Me", Watson makes a deal with Morland (John Noble) to prompt him to go home reports Cartermatt. He offers to help Morland resolve a work issue in exchange for Morland's departure. However, Sherlock should know better than to expect his father to easily give in.
The promo for this "Elementary" Season 4 episode shows Sherlock and Watson investigating the murders of 2 lookalikes which confuses them so much that they will need the help of facial recognition technology to be able to solve the case.
An earlier shot of the promo shows Sherlock acting out the John Cusack scene from the 1989 teen romantic comedy "Say Anything" to show his excitement with the deal with his father. Christian Post reports that he was shown with a stereo playing The Battle Hymn of the Republic over his head at the bottom of the staircase. Watson runs down the stairs and tells him that the stereo should be playing a Peter Gabriel song to which Holmes nonchalantly tells her, "Never heard of it."
In the previous episode of "Elementary" Season 4 titled "Evidence of Things Not Seen", Sherlock accepted his father's offer to help him and Joan get reinstated in their jobs at he NYPD. However, Sherlock does not trust his father and he even thinks he has a secret agenda in helping them.
According to Vine Report, Joan discovered that Morland manipulated the DA into dropping the charges against Sherlock. The episode ended with her warning Morland that she will not let him hurt Sherlock in any way. Morland on the other hand continuous to trust her with Sherlock and acknowledges that she saved his son's life even if things are not going great between him and Joan.
