LG will reportedly release Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the LG G3 on December 16 to 18 in Poland. The Android Marshmallow update is rumored to come to the older LG G2 and LG G Flex 2.

A Polish source called Tablety said that LG plans to release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the LG G3 between December 16 and 18 as per Tech Times. The Android Marshmallow update for the LG G3 is said to be in its final testing stages and will be ready for launch soon. It will come first to Poland then to the rest of Europe and other countries worldwide.

Jaroslaw Bukowski from the LG Polish branch said in Twitter that the update is already prepared. LG will reportedly roll out Android Marshmallow to three variants of LG G3: the F400S, F400K, and F400L.

Know Your Mobile reported that LG will also release the Android Marshmallow update to older units like LG G2 and LG G Flex 2. The rumor was based on LG G2 being seen in a Geekbench test, listing the handset to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, there is no official word from LG that confirms these rumors.

Aside from the LG G3, the LG G4 will also receive Android Marshmallow. It will be the first smartphone in the world to receive the latest Google OS. Like the G3, the Android Marshmallow rollout for the LG G4 will begin next week in Poland then trickle down to America and Asia.

Chris Yie, Vice President of LG, said that LG is working closely with Google to bring Android Marshmallow to the LG G4 earlier than other manufacturers. "While speed alone isn't an indicator of great service, it does go a long way toward giving consumers the confidence that LG is committed to its existing customers first," said Yie.

International Business Times said that LG G3 users will experience the key features of Android Marshmallow once it launches on their devices. Such features of Android Marshmallow include Android Pay, Google Doze, Google Now on Tap, and fingerprint scanner.

Other manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Honor, Sony, BlackBerry Priv, OnePlus, and Asus will also roll out Android Marshmallow to their latest flagships. Nvidia is also reportedly working on an Android Marshmallow update for the Nvidia SHIELD Tablet and SHIELD Tablet K1.
