Prior to announcement, the gaming community had already hinted the PC launch of Square Enix' Dragon Quest Heroes from a leaked ad in Steam. It was reported that through the site's pop up news, a page which appeared to be Dragon Quest Heroes' PC version pre-order advertisement had surfaced.
According to a Gematsu report, the Dragon Quest Heroes advertisement for PC release inadvertently appears while opening a Steam client. However, the page appears as it is not yet live, as clicking through the ad brings the users back to the main storefront page. The ad, however, was reported to have been pulled out.
Nevertheless, game developer Square Enix is yet to officially announce the game's release for PC. Lots of things could happen prior to the official announcement, as Gamespot comments that the gaming community is yet to see if the developer shall confirm the version's existence and share its release date.
Dragon Quest series, as Techno Buffalo commented, has been one of the most stalwart franchises of the console gaming. Launched in Japan early in February for PS3 and PS4 and on the West last October 13 for PS4, the game itself provided the gaming community of the clear definition of the difference between PC and console in the realm of the role playing games. The game has been receiving lots of critical praises lately, which may have prompted Square Enix to have a PC version of the game, as the developers reportedly want to many people to play Dragon Quest Heroes as much as possible.
While the Dragon Quest fan community has been hopeful and excited about the Dragon Quest Heroes' PC version release, an official confirmation from game developer Square Enix is still yet to be watched for. Nonetheless, the game is now available for PS3 and PS4 in Japan and for PS4 in North America and Europe.
