All LG fans will be delighted as the South Korean tech company is set to unveil a yet another addition to its smartphone lineup, the G5. Rumor has it that it will be packed with new and impressive features as well as be launched in 2016.

As previously reported by VCPost, LG is reportedly gearing up for the release of its newest flagship smartphone. There are numerous rumors about the LG G5 that are circulating around the Internet these days. However, the company has yet to confirm all about these things.

The LG G5 is rumored to sport a metal unibody, which is now being a trend in the smartphone market. Recent reports claim that LG will get away with its plastic devices in favor of metal bodies in its upcoming handsets. If this rumor is to be believed, then the LG smartphones' design takes a huge leap.

Another speculation about the G5 is that it will feature an iris scanner. The company has been reportedly to be working with Irience to deliver the iris scanner to the G5. The hardware is speculated to be ready by now and LG is eyeing for an iris scanner that functions at a distance of 50 centimeters.

In addition, it is alleged to sport a 5.6-inch HD display, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 40000mAh battery, and 4K resolution. Under the hood, it will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset with 3GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to be released in spring next year. There is no retail pricing revealed yet, but the price will absolutely match the device.
