Android 6.0 Marshmallow's rollout to Motorola DROID Turbo units is now imminent as the Taiwanese tech giant has revealed its release to other devices. The update will come in with a list of improvements and new features.
Motorola DROID Turbo owners will be officially getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software on both retail and locked versions. Despite exclusion of older Motorola phones from the Marshmallow list, DROID Turbo was lucky enough to get a taste Google's most refined Android software. Most device s of the Taiwanese giant that were not able to make it to the cut are the 2013 models of Moto G, Moto E, Moto X and the rest of its lineup.
In Motorola's support page for software updates, most devices have been labeled to have pending partner support which means the carrier is on the verge of preparing its own software with Google's new build. Meanwhile, Motorola President David Schuster unveiled on November 12, 2015 that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be in full deployment on Moto X Pure Edition and Moto X (2014) which will begin in the next few weeks.
Marshmallow shall come in stages through a notification message and is expected to hit the northern American region later this month or early in December. Luckily, for Moto X Pure Edition units, the approval process has already commenced.
Other Motorola devices set to hit Marshmallow include the Moto G (2015), Moto G (2014), Moto G (2014) with LTE, Moto X Style, Moto X Play, DROID Turbo 2, DROID Maxx 2 and Moto X (2014), among others.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow software will come with new features and enhancements in web experience, user interface, mobile payment system, charging, battery, and so many more.
The user interface brings new improvements specifically in the display of web sites, themes, color and fonts. Further, the animation becomes more fluid and easier on the eyes.
With the new custom Chrome tabs, clicking a link will immediately launch it using the Chrome tab at the top of the window without opening the Chrome browser itself. Chrome Custom Tabs support the features saved passwords, automatic sign-in, auto fill and multi-process security.
