The 2015 Moto G (3rd Gen) model, one of Motorola's flagship devices this year, now has pending partner support for its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. According to previous reports, the model will get a taste of the Marshmallow upgrade before 2015 comes to an end.
In the support page for software updates of Motorola, the third generation Moto G has been shown with pending partner support. This means, that the Taiwanese tech titan should now be in the process of communicating with partner mobile carriers regarding the upgrade and the preparation of its release.
The last few months saw the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software heading to the devices of Motorola this year until the Lenovo-owned company had officially come up with a list of Marshmallow recipients. Although it remains "silent" about the exact date of rollout, a good number of tech sites quoting tipsters have already claimed the third quarter slate.
The 2015 Moto G (3rd Gen) is one of Motorola's 11 lucky devices to make it to the priority list. Aside from this model, Motorola's priority list includes the 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), the 2015 Moto X Style (3rd Gen), the 2015 Moto X Play, the 2014 Moto X Pure Edition (2nd Gen) in the US, the 2014 Moto X (2nd Gen) in Latin America, Europe and Asia, the 2014 Moto G (2014), the 2014 (Moto G) with LTE, DROID Turbo, the 2014 Moto MAXX, the 2014 Moto Turbo and the Nexus 6.
Excluded from the list are mostly the 2013 models of the company; however, there has been no closure until now at Motorola's end whether or not they would be releasing Marshmallow to these devices or not.
