The Season 1 mid-season finale of NBC's "Blindspot" titled "Evil Handmade Instrument" will be full of thrills after the death of David and the crime boss in the previous episode. The tenth episode of the series will also serve as the fall finale as they will be taking a break until the end of February.
A bit of what to expect in the fall finale has been released via CarterMatt: In the thrilling mid-season finale, Kurt and Jane go after a group of sleeper spies that have just been activated and race to stop a slew of assassinations.
In the episode prior to the mid-season finale, "Blindspot" kicked off with a bit of humour but suddenly transitioned to the unfortunate demise of David. It was still a shocking death even with some hints thrown to viewers that a character was going to die in the episode. David went undercover in the said episode in order to find out the secret of a code tattooed on Jane and also to win Patterson's heart. But he was unfortunately killed in the process. Some say Mayfair could possibly be responsible for David's death.
After losing David, Patterson will definitely struggle with guilt and regrets. She had always kept a boundary on her relationship with David even though the man begged for her affection and companionship. This is especially with the fact that David died because he had gone undercover to crack the secret code for Patterson.
Another character who was killed off in the episode was the crime boss, Saul Guerrero, who was killed in prison. The crime boss' death raised a big question for the main players. Do they gain something from Guerrero's death?
Meanwhile, a teaser for the mid-season finale reveals Thomas Carter, the deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency, questioning Jane Doe, the strange amnesiac woman played by Jaime Alexander. Carter asks Jane who she really is, but Jane tells him that she doesn't really know here real identity.
The intense interrogation will not set the overall tone for the finale. There will also be sweet moments between Jane and Kurt. Though the appearance of Kurt's former lover could add some tension to their relationship.
