Samsung launched a new Android flip phone in the market of China. The new device's code name is W2016 which comes in two variants. It offers high technological features with its classic design just like with the Galaxy and Note series.
Tech 2 mentioned that TENAA has certified the new Samsung device last week. The said device comes in Grey and Gold variants. It also offers two 3.9 inches display with 1280 X 768 pixel resolution. According to the report, the display will come on the inside and the other on the outside. W2016 will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It also has a built-in 64GB memory storage. The new Samsung phone though, will not be provided with microSD card.
Further, an exclusive Chinese page for Samsung illustrated the new handset with some of its interesting features. According to the page, the phone is very handy with a weight of 204 grams, because the bottom of the screen and the outer sides of the back cover are made of surface design with enhanced aesthetics for better grip handle. The handset also is backed up by a 2000mAh battery. It supports both wired and wireless two charging methods. Thus, charging may take for up to 30 minutes only to complete 50%.
NDTV also listed some specs of the new phone, such as its software with Android 5.1 Lollipop. It also supports dual-SIM and comes with 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G connectivity options. The report added that Samsung W2016 will also pack the same camera sensors just like with Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and Note 5. Other sensors would also include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
Samsung is indeed expanding its territory for its revenue in terms of invading other markets. However, this will give another opportunity for flip phones to become popular in the market.
