The update of Windows 10 has been made easier by Microsoft in response to the requests of its customers. This would allow users to jump right away to the new operating system, without installing old versions anymore. The said version has a free-for-a-year policy.
The Verge said that users can now download Windows 10 with digital entitlement. It means that users can install the new operating system legitimately, without downloading Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. For those who are not familiar, digital entitlements are hardware locked making it harder for users to shift registration to a new computer, Forbes noted.
In terms of the download, a related report mentioned that users can simply search for 'Activate' in Cortana and the Activation page will give options to register a product key. Alternatively, users can go to Settings, then Update Settings, hit Activation, and Change Product Key. To further speak with the key, the report said that it can come from any eligible copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8, such as Home or Professional editions. More so, unused keys for older Windows release can be used for the upgrade.
On the other hand, the new update highlights new features and changes. In another report of The Verge, the new operating system can now offer Find my Device feature. Microsoft embedded such capability for users to track the last location of laptops of PCs. Such thing is linked to Microsoft Account which gives options by going to Settings, then update and Security, and Find my Device. In addition, Windows 10 enables missed call notifications with reply to call or text message option. Other features of the new Microsoft platform are the ability to cast media to device, ability to sync passwords and favorites through Edge settings, new skype apps, and better app snapping.
Microsoft's response adds value to its customers for easier activation of Windows 10. Furthermore, users can experience enhanced features from the new operating system.
