A gameplay leak of Mass Effect 4: Andromeda has appeared online recently, revealing the game's main features, including its story and other details. The leak showed up originally on Reddit, and according to the moderators of the Mass Effect subreddit, they have been constantly in touch with someone who has an early edition of the game. However, their source requested for them not to reveal as to who it was from, because he might be identified by the game developer, BioWare/Electronic Arts.

As the name suggests, Mass Effect Andromeda's setting will be in the Andromeda Galaxy. WCCF Tech also provided information that the characters will now have better models and details, and the ship is going to be bigger than the Normandy. It will also be completely different in terms of size and type, and will now have a Pathfinder quarters section. Instead of the Old Galaxy map, Mass Effect Andromeda will have a new ship travel system where the player can manually fly the ship.

A new character referred to as "Pathfinder" was also revealed in the leak. He was called such, as the story of the game is about finding a new home for humanity and other races. The gameplay leak also uncovered that Pathfinder will be having two companions, just like in the original trilogy: one is a blonde woman, the other a krogan. All characters will also be provided now with jetpacks, reported Express.

According to the Creative Director of Mass Effect 4, Mac Walters, they are hoping to bring back the sense of wonder to the game. Walters said, "We're working to bring some of that wonder and sense of exploration that we had in the original trilogy. And while we're making a next-gen title, we want to ensure that we're stepping our game up so that this isn't just Mass Effect with shiny new features. And we do that by having deep characters and a compelling story with choice that matter," quoted Cross Map.

It is already expected that there will be more details on Mass Effect to be revealed in E3 2016, before it's tentative launch by December next year. This is going be the largest Mass Effect ever by BioWare's Alistair McNally, and powered by Frostbite engine.
