OnePlus has announced Wednesday this week that the company will be rolling out the latest and biggest OnePlus X update, the OxygenOS 2.1.3, to the users of the latest mid-ranger smartphone.
Android Headlines reports that the announcement was made through a post on the company's official forums made by Head of Mobile Products at OnePlus, Helen Li. The OnePlus X first came out with OxygenOS 2.1, which is OnePlus' version of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
The company has taken into consideration some comments and suggestions from their users and along with those some new features by OnePlus designers and engineers. The update is said to be rolling out in phases.
The update will first come to a handpicked group of OnePLus X owners to allow some time for mass testing. The update will then be available to the general public after 24-48 hours, says Techno Buffalo.
WCCF Tech lines up the complete change log of the OxygenOS 2.1.3 update:
- SD card related improvements including:
- UX improvements
- exFAT SD card support
- Ability to move apps to and from SD card
- Fixed reboots caused by removing SD card in an active state
- Security patches
- General bug fixes and optimizations
The updates are mostly bug fixes and performance enhancements, and users will not yet be seeing the adaptation of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the OnePlus X.
According to GSM Arena,The OnePlus X was released last November, and sports a 5.0 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 441 ppi pixel density. The screen surface is covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with the CPU being a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400. The primary camera has 13 megapixels, while the front side camera has 8 megapixels. Internal memory is 16 GB and expandable by microSD to 128 GB, and RAM is 3 GB.
