FOX is currently facing legal charges filed by Bones executive producer, Barry Josephson. He’s suing the network due to alleged “accounting chicanery”. Inside the show’s orbit, the upcoming Dec. 10th midseason finale has been previewed by co-showrunner Michael Peterson in a report.
On Wednesday, Barry Josephson officially filed a lawsuit against his bosses in the FOX Network. He’s suing them for fraudulently threatening him to accept lower license fee in the past seasons of the show, or else the show would be pulled out from airing. He also claims that the network cheated him and other producers for profit participation which cost millions. The claim mentioned series co-stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz who are also producers for Bones.
The news was first reported by Deadline.
Meanwhile, on Bones’ fictional world, viewers will find Booth and Brennan going undercover as Buck and Wanda to solve a case at an Old West-themed shooting competition. The catch? They won’t be working as a couple.
According to showrunner Michael Peterson, Brennan is not really liking the idea of going undercover with costumes and props. Thinking it would be unnecessary, she doesn’t join him initially.
She will, however, get back on the job ultimately changing the dynamic.
“Every other time they're basically a couple going undercover, and this time they're getting to play strangers to one another,” previewed Peterson in a report from TV Guide.
Peterson adds that viewers have already seen them married for so long. Initiating a shift on their roles was “a fun opportunity we wanted to take”.
The midseason finale will also mark the debut of Sara Rue (Rules of Engagement) who guest stars on the show as Leslie Green. TV Guide reported that her character, an intelligent behavioral analyst, will be working with Booth on his latest case. Viewers will see her in the second hour of the midseason finale.
Rue currently appears on TV Land's Impastor. Her notable television credits include Popular, Malibu Country and Rules of Engagement.
Bones Season 11 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox.
