The death of Jamal leaves a big hole in Abuddin and many are now looking forward as to who will fill such hole in Tyrant Season 3. Meanwhile, Sammy Al-Fayeed becomes fiercer and is likely to control his father. In another story, the new season for Tyrant will air mid-2016 with 10 episodes.
According to Yibada, the third installment is expected to show the rise of a character that will fill the vacuum left by the death of the show's main character Jamal Al-Fayeed, played by Ashraf Barhom. In season two, Jamal was killed at the hands of his daughter-in-law Nusrat, played by Sibylla Deen.
Meanwhile, Sammy Al-Fayeed, played by Noah Silver, will take the control in his hands and will soon start portraying the mean streak of his late uncle. Though his father Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed, played by Adam Rayner, will still be in an active political role, he will become more of a puppet in the hands of his ferocious son.
It is noted that Barry was disguised as a doctor in the entire season 2 trying to save his war-torn country. According to TV Line, FX Networks and FX Productions president of original programming Eric Schrier praised the show's second season despite the negative reviews.
"Tyrant second season took the show to a new level thanks to the skill and direction of Howard, Chris and Glenn and their creative team, the exceptional cast and a story steeped in family, loyalty and intrigue," Schrier said.
In a previous report, FX officially renewed the show with a 10-episode run. No specific premiere date, however, has been announced yet, but rumor has it that the show will premier mid-2016.
Tyrant is a story of a Middle Eastern family and how their lives are changed in a war torn country of Abuddin.
