Xiaomi has released their latest most awaited flagship, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and it has some promising upgrades including an all metal body, a fingerprint sensor and a larger battery.
First Post reports that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sells for RMB 899 - approximately Rs 9500 - to compensate for the handset with MediaTek Helio X10 chipset and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. The Redmi Note 3 sports a 5.5-inch full HD Display, 13 megapixel front end camera and 4G dual SIM support from the Note 2.
According to GSM Arena, the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen carries a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 403 ppi pixel density. The smartphone will launch with Android 5.1 Lollipop coming out of the box and the internal memory it carries can either be 16 GB or 32 GB depending on the model availed, and it does not support an SD card slot.
The 4128 x 3096 pixels of the front facing camera also has phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, Geo-tagging, face/smile detection, HDR and panorama features. The secondary camera packs 5 megapixels.
One of the most celebrated upgrades of the Note 3 compared to its predecessor, the Note 2, is its aluminum unibody design, which makes the Note 3 the first Xiaomi device to sport a full metal body design, says Android Pit.
The Redmi Note 3 is also the first Xiaomi phone to be equipped with a fingerprint scanner that has an unlock response of 0.3 seconds. This is most probably in preparation for the mandatory fingerprint sensor support that Android 6.0 Marshmallow asks OEMs to provide.
There are three colors that potential Redmi Note 3 owners can choose from: Silver, Gray, Gold. The Redmi Note 3's bigger battery packs a 4000 man capacity that extends the lifespan of the phone by a whole lot, lasting up to 264 hours if on standby and 60 hours with music being played.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 hit the device market last November 27, 2015.
