Android 6.0 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Obtained by a User?

By

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is supposed to reach a handful of devices before the year ends. However, a user of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 claims to have obtained an Android M build with TouchWiz UI.

According to Tech Times, it seems that Samsung has accidentally pushed out the latest Android version to a single user. The owner of the device is somewhat generous, as he shares screenshots of the new TouchWiz user interface and other information on XDA.

As for the aesthetics, the overlay's new color palette seems to preserve the green accents from the previous version, but it's predominantly white. The menus got a little polishing as it come along with some new animations, particularly for the notification panel with a touch of Material Design.

The quick settings menu also received quite an overhaul, getting its Edit button altered, losing its integrated S-Finder and Quick connect buttons. The stock applications' icons also reportedly got a little revision.

AndroidPit added that the power off menu also looks a little slicker, and the battery options now show consumption in mAh; which may be a helpful addition to those who want to monitor the phone's battery consumption. However, there hasn't been a change to the Air Command window and the camera interface.

Softpedia noted that the TouchWiz UI has been scrubbed up with new animations, while the settings have been sorted, and some apps included in Marshmallow have received a slight rework. The phablet also feels more responsive and smoother which is basically due to the new animations. Also, there are no memory management issues present in this build. There is one thing that did not seem to work properly though: the Doze mode. But since this an experimental build, Samsung still has time to do something about it.

It might be a little exciting, but many believes that this isn't the final version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 so some things might change for the better until the final release comes later in December.
