Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Status For Samsung Note 5, Note 4, Note 3, Galaxy S6, Note Edge, S5, S4

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to roll out on Samsung handsets soon. Recently, the company has given an update on the status of Marshmallow firmware on Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Note 4, Note 3, Note Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4.

According to International Business Times, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users are all set to obtain the newest Android operating system in December. But recently, a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 owner has installed a rogue edition of the upgrade while re-installing the firmware on his handset. With this, it seems that the release of Android 6.0 seems to be ready and forthcoming for Note 5 users.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ handsets are also expected to receive Android M next month. But reports sugges that the update will be made available for S6 Edge+ as well as for users of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in January next year.

The update has also been approved for Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge and is expected to be rolled out by February next year. In March 2016, Galaxy A8 is scheduled to obtain the Android 6.0 followed by the Galaxy S5 in April.

Furthermore, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3, Galaxy E7, Galaxy E5, Galaxy J7, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J2 smartphones are still waiting for approval. On the other hand, the update has been cancelled for Galaxy J1 and for Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4, meaning the upgrade was not approved.

The newly leaked document has also showed the names of the Samsung tablets that will be eligible to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The 9.7-inch and 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 models, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, the Galaxy Tab A 8 and 9.7 variants are in line to get approval for the update. Moreover, the firmware update has been approved for Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and it is scheduled to receive it by April 2016.

In addition, Android Origin stated that it seems that Samsung wants to really improve the software part of its services. The company is also expanding TouchWiz with rumors that a high tier Tizen device will be arriving next year but there's a downside with their updates. Google and Samsung are working together to enhance the TouchWiz and soon the massive improvements is expected in this field.

With the Android 6.0 Marshmallow rolling out on Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Note 4, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and S5, the owners of these handsets can now be at ease knowing that they will soon experience the newest OS of Google. They just have to keep an eye for further updates on th exact schedule of the roll out.
