The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update that was first seen on Google Nexus handsets is officially coming to Motorola devices. The company has already confirmed that the Android M will be rolling out to Moto X Play, Moto X Style, Moto X (2014), Moto G (2015), Moto G (2014), Moto G (2014) LTE in Brazil and Moto X Pure Edition in Brazil and India.
According to AndroidPIT, David Schuster of Motorola has stated that the owners of the aforementioned devices in India and Brazil will be the first to see the update arrive. The global release is set to occur gradually over the coming weeks. Furthermore
Motorola has also revealed its current list of Motorola phones that are eligible for the update. But the list as well as its timeframe for the individual rollouts are still subject to change.
Know Your Mobile stated on its article that Motorola has already started rolling out the Marshmallow update to the Moto X Style and Moto X (2014). The upgrade is reportedly released via over-the-air and there's no way to do it manually, meaning users of these handsets will have to wait for a notification.
Just like the previous updates, it'll be a staged rollout starting in Brazil and India before the rest of the countries have it in the next few weeks. This will also be followed by rollouts starting for more of Motorola's handsets.
Furthermore, International Business Times added other handsets that were reported to receive the update. The Droid Turbo, Moto MAXX (2014), and Moto Turbo (2014) are also one of the lucky handsets that are officially approved by the company to obtain the Android 6.0 update. Additionally, the newly released Droid Turbo 2 and Droid MAXX 2 are also bound to receive the latest OS build.
As the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is confirmed to roll out on Moto X Play, Moto X Style, Moto X (2014), Moto G (2015), Moto G (2014), Moto G (2014) LTE and Moto X Pure Edition in India and Brazil, other countries are expected to follow. For now, the company's patrons are advised to wait the company's confirmation and go signal for the update.
