'Five Nights at Freddy's' is director Gil Kenan's latest project and is based on Scott Cawthon's horror video game series of the same name. Kenan continues posting possible character and plot hints on his social media accounts. He also revealed that he was working closely with Cawthon for the adaptation.
According to Realty Today, director Gil Kenan continued shelling out some potential plot hints on his personal media accounts despite managing to keep official details for his upcoming live-action adaptation under wraps. One recent post showed a monochromatic photograph of a plush toy among some wreckage with the caption, "only one survived". Another image uploaded on November 9 showed what looked to be the insides of a possible animatronic to be featured in the film.
Previous reports noted that Kenan will be favoring the use of real animatronics over special effects. According to Design & Trend, the filmmaker expressed his desire to bring Scott Cawthon's murderous robotics to life by trying not to rely heavily on CGI and digital alterations. It remains unknown whether fans will get to see Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica or Foxy at all on the big-screen since Kenan teased that the 'Five Nights at Freddy's' story line will different from the original video game series.
The 39-year old filmmaker also announced that Cawthon will be involved in the project as much as he will be. According to Geek Smash, Kenan will also be co-writing the film's script together with Tyler Burton Smith of 'Sleeping Dogs'. Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg have signed on to produce the film while Adam Stone and Jay Ireland will be executive producing.
'Five Nights at Freddy's' is an upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular video game series of the same name created by Scott Cawthon. The indie point-and-click horror and survival series consists of four games, with the first one released on August 8, 2014. It received critical acclaim and was praised for its unique take on the horror gaming genre.
