Just Cause 3 shows performance problems on console and PC; Frame rates on Xbox One as low as 17FPS

The newly launched Just Cause 3 is suffering from some performance issues on both console and PC. The PC version shows some bugs and glitches and the Xbox One seems to possess the worst issues.

Arstechnica noted in their Just Cause 3 review that the version of the game on PC is experiencing multiple problems even on a GTX 770, which is a good hardware. The issues include regular freezing, random disconnection from the servers of Square Enix, audio desyncing from video, and the whole ocean disappearing. Several Reddit threads experienced disappearing water and glitchy mountain ranges.

To remove some of the issues, Nvidia have provided a brand new Game Ready driver and AMD has released a beta driver. Despite of this, problems still exist for many users, especially those who are using AMD cards.

The first analysis on the game issues on Xbox One version was posted on Youtube by NX Gamer. He said that playing JC3 for over an hour eventually leads to loading times which takes more than 15 minutes and the frame rate drops up to 17FPS. NX Gamer also suffered multiple crashes and some problems that can only be resolved by performing a full system reboot.

NX Gamer believes that the error seems to be memory leakages that clears out RAM. He also added that "Some of the AI goes mad, the physics can react really oddly, and unfortunately on top of all these problems, the performance with a game that's totally designed around blowing stuff up and having this chaotic world doesn't perform very well at all."

While the game's version on Xbox One seems to be showing many glitches, the PS4 version also shows frame rate drops, said Euro Gamer. Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of JC3 are said to be unable to maintain their 30FPS target.

The issue with the drop on frame rates seems to irritate many gamers. The current performance of Just Cause 3 on console and PC is not what the fans have expected.
