Until Dawn: Rush of Blood Confirmed as Stand Alone Title; Release Date Close to PlayStation VR Early 2016 Launching

The newest horror title by Supermassive Games, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, looks as if it will take the success of the recent title have the fans decide their way to safety, but the development team apparently has another thing coming. The nightmare-inducing title looks like it has something behind its coat-and it may not be for the mild-hearted.

According to PC Advisor, Supermassive Games has surrounded itself with the success of their recently launched title, Until Dawn-- and fans agree that it is, indeed, a much-deserved win for the team. After only a few months, fans that had their hands around the decision-based role-playing game seemingly want more, especially after the spine-tingling experience that Until Dawn has induced.

Delivered by Design and Trend, contrary to the original Until Dawn title, the proposed Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, is not meant to be of the same theme and gameplay, but a stand-alone title with a different motive. It does not encourage fans to connect it to the predecessor, but to look at it as something else-- a first-person shooter that situates the gamer on a moving roller coaster with surrounding monstrosities. As many may have thought or believed in the past, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is not a downloadable content update.

Simon Harris, Executive Producer of Supermassive Games, was quoted on his definition of the title, saying, "When we first started working on Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, we were still in the middle of development on Until Dawn, but it was clear to us that the world and characters we were creating would be perfect to expand into new experiences. As we established compelling gameplay for VR, we were able to combine that with a journey through many familiar aspects of Blackwood Pines, but from a horrifying new perspective!"

VR Focus reported that the title may be revealed some time next year, as the PlayStation VR will also officially hit the market by early 2016. That being the case, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood may be launched alongside or after the VR hardware has been made available.

After Paris Games Week 2015 announced the existence of the title, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is perhaps another pushing factor in the horror genre, following the triumphant launch of the classic title a few months ago. Keep posted for more updates on Supermassive Games' strong follow-up to presumably one the scariest games so far.
