‘Rock Band 4’ DLC Features Recent Songs in Off the Charts 01 Pack

By

Developer Harmonix's rock band simulator game, Rock Band 4, was released last October 6, and is releasing its latest DLC, Off the Charts which features more recent songs than those of the previous packs. Since its release, dozens of new DLC have been incorporated to add to its long list of built-in tracks.

On November 24, a new DLC of 6 songs from Can Halen were already added on the list, having each song for $2 while the Van Halen Hits Pack 01 costs $10. The Can Halen Pack include: 'Ain't Talking Bout Love', 'And the Cradle Will Rock', 'Dance the Night Away', 'Hot for Teacher', 'Runnin With the Devil', and 'Unchained'. On December 1, another set of DLC featuring 5 songs were released, each song for $2 while the Off the Charts 01 pack can be bought for just $8.50. The songs included were: 'Dreams' by Beck, 'Electric Love' by BORNS, 'Cocoon' by Catfish and the Bottlemen, 'First' by Cold War Kids, and 'Renegades' by X Ambassadors. Furthermore, Crossmap reports that Harmonix plan to partner with Bethesda to bring the Vault 111 Suit to Rock Band 4 on December 8, in celebration of the blockbuster success of Fallout 4.

The Off the Charts Pack includes the song Dreams, as Beck debuts in the Rock Band library since 'E-Pro' was featured in Rock Band 2. According to IGN, game developer Harmonix had been releasing new tracks on a weekly basis since its October 6 release, as to pick up where it left off the last generation in April 2013. To date, the assortment of DLC songs include the six-track Aerosmith and Van Halen packs, and a stack of a wide range of acts, including Audioslave, Iggy Pop, Linkin Park, Robert Palmer, INXS, Cance Joy, Depeche Mode, and The Hollies.

While one may notice that Rock Band 4 may have focused musical masterpieces of the past in its DLC releases, Harmonix now breaks the streak in its December 1 DLC. Shacknews reveals that for its latest Off the Charts pack, the game shall be featuring recent tracks from the Billboard music charts.

Harmonix's Rock Band 4 is now available for PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Its latest DLC, the Off the Charts pack is now available for $8.50 while each song is individually available for $2.
