Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) will take on the case of a murdered archeologist in "Elementary" Season 4 Episode 5 titled "The Games Underfoot".
According to the episode synopsis in Christian Today, Holmes and Watson think that the archeologist was murdered because of his latest excavation in a local landfill. They believe that his discovery may have cost him his life.
Aside from the murder case however, fans are curious about the brewing problem between Holmes and his former Narcotics Anonymous sponsor Alfredo Llamosa (AtoEssandoh) reports Cartermatt.
Alfredo is one of Holmes' few trusted friends who Holmes chose to fire as his sponsor so he can help him as a friend when Alfredo needed one. Though he does not hesitate to call Holmes out when he falls off the wagon of sobriety, the two have remained close friends. However, something might happen in the coming episode that will put a strain in their friendship.
Another thing to look forward to in this "Elementary" Season 4 episode is the growing animosity between Watson and the new cop Detective Gina Cortes (Monique Gabriela Curnen) reports Vine Report. Cortes immediately showed her dislike for Watson in the previous episode and spent a lot of time harassing her. She dug further into Watson's past by asking her friends.
The two chose to settle their differences in a boxing match which Watson managed to win. However, Cortes could further cause trouble for Holmes and Watson as she begins an investigation on how the two got their jobs back at the New York Police Department. Her motive for the investigation has not yet been revealed but it is believed that she will play a key role for the remainder of he season.
"Elementary" Season 4 Episode 5 will be pre-empted by CBS this week but will air on December 10. It will be followed the following week by the midseason finale titled "The Cost of Doing Business" before the series takes a brief hiatus.
