Dark Souls 3 $59 Day One Edition Detailed by Bandai Namco; Gameplay TRAILER Dropped [Watch]

After several months for gaming fans of waiting in vain, game developer From Software has officially announced that Dark Souls 3 will be launched on April 12 next year in US on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Japanese gamers, however, will be first to get their hands on the full game on March 24.

An all- new mesmerizing gameplay trailer has also been dropped by the game developer to add to the hype and fuel up fans' excitement for the new title including the Collector's and Prestige Edition which contain exclusive items to come with these two special package deals.

According to International Business Times, the Dark Souls 3 gameplay trailer which is about four-minute-long has shown never-before-seen locations and monsters in series. It is noted that the upcoming game is the fourth and claimed as final for the franchise.

In previous reports, game director Hidetaka Miyazaki stated that Dark Souls 3 gameplay design based closedly to its predecessor title, Dark Souls 2. In addition, there will be a wide array of new weapons like shortbows fire bombs, greatswords, dual-wielding swords, shields. In the video, it is also shown how the gamer performed dodge-rolling as defense tactic. Also, Dark Souls fans can look forward to to also get a glimpse of Ashes and magic.

It is said to feature a much faster combat and movements to add more fluidity as opposed to the past titles. Despite that the game might have a few number of maps, it will reportedly have interconnected levels, simply put, larger in size. What's more is that it will push hardcore gamers to really get into the adventure deep within the confines of the game's environment.

Meanwhile, game's publisher Bandai Namco has detailed Dark Souls 3 Day One Edition which will contain the game, a starter guide, a soundtrack, and special packaging. Players need to shell out $59 for this edition, reports Game Ranx.

The Dark Souls 3 Collector's Edition, on the other hand, will be costing $129 inclusive of these must-have items:

  • The game itself
  • starter guide
  • soundtrack
  • art book
  • cloth game map
  • 10-inch Red Knight statue
  • collector's box

The Prestige Edition will comprise of the main game, a numbered 40cm Lord of Cinder statue, a hardcover artbook for the entire trilogy, soundtrack, 3 iron-on patches, a cloth map, and a display case for the statue. An Apocalypse Edition will also be available which will have a steel case plus the game's official soundtrack.
