Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress Chelsea Peretti is now engaged to Jordan Peele, the actress shared the news on Twitter this week. In other Nine-Nine developments, Scream Queens actress Niecy Nash has nabbed a guest starring gig on the hit FOX comedy.
Chelsea Peretti, the portrayer of Gina on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is officially engaged to fellow comedian Jordan Peele. The actress has announced the exciting news via Twitter two weeks ago.
"My fiancé (lololol) @JordanPeele proposed to me last night during the family talent show lolol," Peretti tweeted.
Her Brooklyn Nine-Nine family immediately congratulated Peretti for the milestone event.
"THANK U TELEVISION SHOW TWITTER ACCOUNT!," she responded.
As for the show’s casting news, Scream Queens star Niecy Nash has booked a guest starring role on the comedy’s third season. Entertainment Weekly first reported the news.
Nash will play Debbie, the sister of Capt. Hold (Andre Braugher) in an episode airing on January.
Nash, who also stars on HBO’s Getting On, has tweeted a photo on the set of Nine-Nine. “So excited to work with the cast of @Brooklyn99FOX This show is HILARIOUS #HappyActress #Blessed,” she shared.
Nash joins Bill Hader, Archie Panjabi and Matt Walsh among Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s slew of guest stars this season.
Next Sunday, an all new episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine will air on FOX. Titled “Yippie Kayak”, the Dec. 13th installment will find Jake, Charles and Gina get involved in a real-life Die Hard situation. This also marks the show’s Christmas episode, The Futon Critic shared.
Elsewhere, Amy will bring out her competitive side as she proves to Holt and Rosa that she’s just tough as they are.
Guest starring on “Yippe Kayak” are Dean Winters, Merrun Dungey and Jamal Duff.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is created and executive produced by Michael Schur. Season 3 moves to its new timeslot at 9 p.m. starting January 5th.
