‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ Still Not Coming Anytime Soon

By

Amidst the fan disappointment regarding the scarce details and updates on the most anticipated Elder Scrolls 6 or Skyrim 2, Bethesda still remains conservative on revealing the updates of the game. However, despite the lack of game details, the developers assure that they would give the game 100% once they had a hand on it.

During the Gamescom 2015, Pine Hine clarified that Elder Scrolls 6/Skyrim 2 may not be happening anytime soon as they have been 100% focused on Fallout 4. As Crossmap knows that it is not Bethesda's way to split development teams, it seemed that Elder Scrolls 6 updates might just surface on 2017, since while Fallout 4 has already been released, the site is pretty sure that the developers would now focus on the upcoming DLC releases of the said game. In addition, Bethesda is known for releasing The Elder Scrolls titles every after 4 years, which makes sense to assume that the anticipated game would release on 2019.

Furthermore, the interview reveals that Bethesda does not release a product when they are not 100% certain that it is worth releasing. Hines also reiterated that Bethesda does not want to publish to scale and instead, they publish quality. There are also rumors that the game shall have its setting either in Valenwood or Elsweyr. Neurogadget further reveals that it is not yet confirmed if the game would be entitled Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia or Skyrim 2.

On the other hand, MNR Daily opines that waiting for a game is not always a bad thing. In fact, it could mean more time for development and fixing the issues encountered during game testing. In addition, advances in technology may just coincide with the game development and the dev team might just consider applying such to the game at hand, as well as great ideas from competitors and fans alike. Furthermore, reports suggest that some elements from the first Skyrim will also be included, so gamers apparently might witness the comeback of Frost Giants, Draugr, and The Holds. However, at present, two things are possibly taking Bethesda's attention: The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 4.

While the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls 6/Skyrim 2 by Bethesda would not release anytime soon, the developers assure to exert 100% focus on the game so as to allow fans to wait for the time being the best qualities they expect from the game.
