While game updates remain scarce, a lot of reports, rumors and information from reliable sources confer as the gaming community yearns for official announcements regarding Naughty Dog's The Last of Us 2.
Having the original game remastered last year, Power-up Gaming believes that Naughty Dog has the technology to make the game, and they know the latter is working on it. The site also argues that it was proven that the developers still have the appetite for more of The Last of Us. While nothing is officially on the line after Uncharted 4, it would seem like an opportunity for Naughty Dog to announce its next project.
On one report of Latinos Post, it was said that rumors have been surfacing that the game might just have an earlier release, as well as an interesting twist in the game story. Reports reveal that the game has just been delayed so as to focus on Uncharted 4: The Thief's End, the last of the series. Hence, The Last of Us 2 would come after Uncharted 4 as reported. Considering the gap streak of Naughty Dog in releasing its games, the release of The Last of Us 2 might take place on 2018 or 2019. Meanwhile, it is said that the scene where Joel is dying while Ellie struggles for survival where players can see Ellie reminisce her days with Joel.
All of the hype and circulation may be rooted from popular video game voice actor Nolan North as he first teased The Last of Us 2 during the Q&A panel at MetroCon in Florida. Details were pretty much revealed after a fan inquired at North whether the actor was collaborating with Naughty Dog on any project following Uncharted 4. North responded that as of the moment, Uncharted 4 would be his last time working with Uncharted 4 so far, but he takes the speculations up by stating: "I know they're doing a Last of Us 2", Movie Pilot reports.
At present, Naughty Dog's zombie apocalypse survival game, The Last of Us 2, has no official announcements yet.
