"The Affair" Season 2 Episode 10 went back to the show's original format of two perspectives which in the episode centered on Noah and Alison. It is pretty clear that their relationship appears is an ongoing wreck. Their ex-spouses in the meantime, seem to have emerged in a happier place.
A pleasant surprise in the episode is Helen and Dr. Vic Ullahare are now officially a couple after her and Noah's divorce has been finalized. Meanwhile, Cole is at the happiest viewers have seen him after he and Luisa have mended last week's rift.
There is a one year jump from Joanne's hurricane birth to the episode. During the time span, Helen and Cole's relationships have gotten stronger while that of Noah and Alison has been unraveling although they are still together. They agreed to a couple's therapy to make things work between them. However, Noah ended up attending the session alone.
According to Celebdirty Laundry, the therapist Marilyn got Noah to a place where he had to be honest with himself. He admitted that he believes he is not cut out for monogamy anymore and if their baby wasn't born, he could have been in Paris working on his second book.
He further confided that he didn't tell Alison about his divorce from Helen because he didn't want to move forward with her reports TV Fanatic. He confides that sometimes Alison stares at him as if she's trying to figure something out.
It was revealed in this "The Affair" Season 2 episode that she had gone back to school to be a doctor. She decided to go home one grueling day but she ran into Scotty outside her house. He wanted her to help him open his own nightclub but she turned him down. His pleading turned threatening as he demanded money he felt was due to his family from Noah's book.
When Scotty saw Joanie, he smiled knowingly when the nanny said the baby looks just like her dad. This made Alison so nervous that she forgets her therapy session with Noah. However, she was able to make it to a meeting with Cole.
Cole told her he was getting married and wanted to tell Alison in person. She said he was happy for him and wished him the best.
Alison apologizes for missing their therapy when Noah gets home and he thinks about telling her about the divorce but doesn't reports EW. They agreed to quit couples' therapy.
