'Divergent: Allegiant' lead actor Theo James opened up about spooning, natural chemistry and friendship with co-star Shailene Woodley. The English actor was also rumored to have broken off wedding plans with Ruth Kearney in favor of his career.
According to the Inquisitr, Theo James is nothing short of candid when it comes to expressing himself on interviews. When asked about his friendship with co-star Shailene Woodley and the rest of the cast, he said that they all did a lot of things together off-screen and that it was fun.
He admitted, "We all hung out a lot. It was fun. We were all in this one apartment. We're all sharing a bed - me and Shailene just shared a single bed and were just like spooning every night! Erm no, we were all in this same apartment block so it felt like camp for better or worse. It was fun and we hit the town quite a lot and drunk our weight in tequila."
Despite ongoing dating rumors between James and Woodley, the two reiterated over several interviews that they were just friends. Woodley is reportedly seeing musician Nahko Bear while James is currently in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Ruth Kearney. James and Kearney are said to be engaged and are planning to tie the knot after the Divergent series wrap up.
However, an article from Movie News Guide seemed to imply that the two have broken it off in favor of James' acting career. It was reported that the English actor is slated to play a young James Bond as a successor to Daniel Craig's agent 007. There is no official confirmation for this new role.
James is currently filming a number of movies including 'Divergent: Allegiant', 'War On Everyone' and 'Underworld: Next Generation'. He has also starred in 2015 releases such as 'London Fields', 'The Benefactor' and 'The Inbetweeners Movie'. It is no doubt that the 30 -year old has become one of Hollywood's hottest rising stars.
New character posters for the upcoming Divergent sequels have been released as posted on People.com, including those of Woodley's Beatrice 'Tris' Prior and James' Tobias 'Four' Eaton seemingly trapped behind what looked to be frosted glass. 'Divergent: Allegiant' will pick up after the events of 'Insurgent', where Tris, Four and the rest of their allies escape the walled city and take on new obstacles in the outside world.
'Divergent: Allegiant' is the first film in the back-to-back installation based on author Veronica Roth's young adult novels of the same name. The upcoming science fiction film is directed by Robert Schwentke based on the screenplay by Noah Oppenheim, Stephen Chbosky, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. It stars Woodley, James, Octavia Spencer, Ray Stevenson, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Naomi Watts and Jeff Daniels.
