Microsoft Lumia 1050, the new camera-smartphone is rumored to be set for release. The handset is rumored to hit the shelves early in 2016 despite the release of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL phones recently this year.
Photography aficionados are set to get their fix of an Windows phone with the camera features of a DSLR in the new Lumia 1050. According to Cross Map, the new gadget is rumored to feature camera sensors that will be more advances than the current Pure View cameras by Microsoft.
The rear camera is expected to have a 50MP sensor along with a variable aperture and zoom lens. It is also rumored to house optical image stabilization and autofocus features in it. While it is expected to be released with a better and intricate rear camera, its downside could be its lack of a front-facing camera which almost all smartphones have nowadays. Its features also include a direct access to the cloud app.
It will be released with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, and will house 4GB RAM with 128 GB internal memory which is expandable with storage support. According to Geek Snack, the new handset is speculated to be released with 5,200mAh battery as well.
As reported by Christian Today, Lumia 1050 is rumored to be launched in January or February and might be released in the market in March. It will also serve as the company's next flagship offering, despite reports that the company is currently working on getting support for its Windows store.
The yet to be released Microsoft Lumia 1050 is believed to be aimed at photography enthusiasts who would want to enjoy a high quality camera while also enjoy the convenience of a smartphone. Its predecessor, the Lumia 1020 also reportedly earned positive feedbacks for its camera despite the unusual design.
