The character list of the coming fighting game Pokken Tournament is growing as game developers Bandai Namco Entertainment and the Pokémon Company introduced new sets of playable heroes.
International Business Times wrote that Pokken Tournament teased fans with another popular Pokémon joining the playable roster alongside the support characters. The teaser came with a leaked photograph showing Pokenchi presenter Shoko Nakagawa with second generation starter Pokémon Sceptile entering with the other 2nd-gen starter Pokémon, Blaziken. Aside from Sceptile, two support characters are insinuated to join the fighting game. Farfetch'd and Electrode are both are 1st-gen Pokémons.
However, developers Bandai Namco and the Pokémon Co. have not yet confirm the stories but there will be a major reveal this coming Thurday, IBT added. The list of confirmed characters consist of Pikachu, Pikachu Libre, Machamp, Charizard, Gengar, Suicune, Blaziken, Gardevoir, Lucario, Weavil and the unique version of Mewtwo, called Shadow Mewtwo.
Neoseeker confirmed that stories started circulating about another major reveal for Pokken Tournament after a photograph emerged showing the newest fighter. The rumored new member of the tournament is the grass-type Sceptile.
The site added that this does not come as a huge disclosure since Sceptile has been re-classed as a fighter with its mega evolution from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Sceptile comes with two support Farfetch'd and Electrode.
Comic Book supplemented that Sceptile is the final evolution of Treeko and was given a Mega Evolution in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, which rolls the popular Grass Pokémon into a Grass/Dragon hybrid. The character's attack is the Leaf Blade with his powerful tree-like tail and blade-like extensions on its arms. Sceptile is the first Grass sort to appear in Pokken Tournament. The character has been featured in Pokémon anime series. Ash keeps one which is considered to be one of his most powerful Pokémon.
Pokken Tournament is also called Pokémon Tekken in Germany is developed by The Pokémon Company and Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is slated to hit the shelves in 2016 for the Nintendo Wii U.
