The game producer of the soon-to-be released fifth installment of the Street Fighter franchise share details on the story mode and its roster of characters. They also explained how fight money works. Meanwhile, it is also noted that Street Fighter V will not be available for Xbox One lovers.

Event Hubs cited an interview of series producer Yoshinori Ono talking about Street Fighter V's story mode. Ono implied that in this series, they will improve the story mode and explore the lore of the franchise. He added that inspirations will be drawn from Mortal Kombat story mode. With regards to character trials, as being popular with Street Fighter IV, Ono proudly said that Capcom will meet and surpass expectations of the Street Fighter fans although he did not give further details.

The site also pointed out to Matt Dahlgren's explanation of earning fight Money in Street Fighter V. Dahlgren emphasized that the Fight Money will carry out greater importance in daily goals instead of grinding sessions. Fight Money is the in-game currency use to acquire DLC characters, costumes and more.

Gaming Bolt confirmed that unlike Street Fighter IV that has a vast roster, Street Fighter V has only 16 available characters. However, Ono promised that he will back the game for the same period of time he supported Street Fighter IV for several years.

Gaming Bolt cited Ono describing that even if it will take him to support the game for five years same as the length of time he held Street Fighter IV, then he will do. He said, "We want to support it as long as we can, we honestly will have to see - we don't know anymore than anyone else does how it's going to turn out next February, once we do this completely new way of doing things."

Street Fighter V will be out on February 16, 2016 for PC and PlayStation 4. It is not going to be available on the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One. Questions come pouring in what about Xbox One owners. Cinema Blend wrote that Ono is trying to persuade Xbox owners to shift into Playstation 4 to experience the Street Fighter V. Aside from that, the series producer also jested that Playstation 4 comes at a very attractive price especially during the Black Friday Sale. Street Fighter V has no release in sight for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Street Fighter V is slated to hit the shelves in early 2016 for PS4 and PC.
