Bethesda's Fallout 4 claimed as 2015's most popular video game receives its first update for PC and on PS4, Xbox One shortly after that. The game developer has released the full details on what the gamers can get from Fallout 4 new patch 1.2 for PC such as addition of new features including remapping and a number of bug fixes to improve the game.

The same update will also be coming to PS4 and Xbox One versions sometime this week and via Steam, the full patch notes for Fallout 4 1.2 update have been detailed as follows:

New Features

  • Number pad keys can now be used for remapping (PC)
  • Remapping Activate now works on Quick Container (PC)

Fixes

  • General memory and stability improvements
  • Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant
  • Optimizations to skinned decal rendering
  • Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals
  • Fixed issue where equipped weapons become locked after completing Reunions
  • Fixed issue with "When Freedom Calls" where the quest would not complete
  • During "Confidence Man" fixed issue where player's health would continuously regenerate
  • Fixed crash related to jumping into water and reloading saved games
  • Fixed issue where Launcher would not save God Rays Quality setting properly (PC)

However, PC Gamer has noted that this new update has decreased mod support for Fallout 4 and added that the new launcher from the update disabled the mods on startup and the .INI edit.

Fans are advised to do the following to fix it: Launch the Nexus Mod Manager > Launch Fallout 4 > Switch to NMM > Re-enable mods > Go back to Fallout 4.

On a lighter side, Games Radar shared a Fallout 4 holiday-themed hack that gamers can make use of to add the Christmas spirit to Diamond City. In order to do so, gamers must set the in-game calendar to Dec. 25, 2287 or 2288 when they have already gone past the former without being in the city. Then players can now see the delightful Christmas treats especially the colorful lights and decorated trees in Jewel of the Commonwealth.

Developed by Bethesda, Fallout 4 is the fourth installment of the franchise launched in November and is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
