Asus ZenFone Max is now official and is heavily rumored to be released in time for Christmas or early next year. The new phone is expected to feature superior camera features and a battery with longer capacity.
An official product page was recently launched by Asus causing speculations that the release might happen soon. According to Next Power Up, the new smartphone is rumored to be released in time for Christmas or during the Chinese New Year in February.
Among its highlight feature is its 5000mAh battery that is considerably higher than other smartphone batteries in the market. As reported by Android Community, the battery for the new Asus ZenFone Max allows up to 37.6 hours of 3G talk time, 32.5 hours of Wifi Web browsing, and 22.5 hours of video playback, although the battery life will still depend on the use of the device.
The new smartphone is expected to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306 graphics. It will be released with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB eMMC internal storage which can be further supported by up to 64GB microSD.
According to Notebook Check, the device will exhibit a faux leather rear cover and a metal-effect bezel. Its display will be a 5.5-inch multi-touch HD with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The camera will also be released with 13MP back camera with dual LED flash and laser focus, while the front-facing camera will be at 5MP.
It will also be available with 4G LTE connectivity and dual sim. The new device is expected to feature an Android Lollipop with ZenUI operating system and will be a light device at 0.44 pounds, and height at 3.05x6.14x0.42 inches.
After it was launched during the ZenFestival months ago, no details have been revealed pertaining to the release of the ASUS ZenFone Max, however, with the release of the new page, and video material the anticipated smartphone could hit market shelves soon.
