Since Marvel's announcement for a "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" movie, director James Gunn never fails to keep an update about the progress of the much awaited sequel film. Just as when the filmmaker was a little silent about it, reports once again resurfaced unveiling some details about the second instalment.
Just recently, the internet world got all crazy when a deleted scene from Marvel's Phase 2 Blu-ray box set was revealed. Entertainment Weekly reported that the footage of Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista's screen test. However, the clip contained the scenes of Pratt (Star-Lord) trying to talk about ruining Gamora (Zoe Saldana) with Drax. It was also observed what Pratt did about slithering his finger as if meaning to kill Ronan.
Furthermore, the clip featured Drax conversing with Rocket Raccoon and Groot while having a few drinks. As per Collider, Drax talked about his tattoos which serve as his map from all his stories and journey in life. Additionally, the article speculated that this might be what Gunn meant about the big Easter egg which he claims of no one has recognized it.
Meanwhile, the director reiterated that the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" movie will have more of Gamora with a fairer portion of the relation merchandise. According to the Den of Geek, Gunn was asked about the lightness of Saldana's representation but he acknowledged the issue saying that he was doing something about it.
"I had a big conversation about this yesterday with one of my producer's at Marvel about trying to make sure, especially that Gamora is represented more in stuff and all the Guardians toys but especially all the clothing and bedsheets and all that stuff," he said.
He also reiterated that the studio is also aware of the problem. "I think it's really important. That often times it's something Marvel is concerned with, as I am. It's frustrating and stuff and it bums me out", he said.
This time around, fans will have to see a wider perspective of Gamora wreath and a bigger role for Saldana's kick-ass warrior assassin character. In some other reports, Chris Hemsworth expressed his interest of joining the Guardians with his character as Thor. The actor emphasized that he would be intrigued to see Thor fighting along and having fun with the Guardians but this seemed to unlikely happen.
The Guardians will not be participating with the Avengers and they will not be appearing in the Civil War either. But what do you think of Thor joining in the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" movie?
