"Once Upon A Time" Season 5B will be seeing more of Regina as she was not that featured in the first half of the season since the focus was more on Emma being the Dark One. It has also been reported that the showrunner of the series shared more on the idea of the underworld and what fans are to expect.
In a report by Enstars, Regina will be having more opportunity to bond with Robin Hood since Zelena has been sent back to the land of Oz. The relationship of Regina and Robin will be explored more in the second half of "Once Upon A Time" Season 5.
The co-creators of the series, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, spoke recently in an interview about their plans regarding the two aforementioned characters. Kitsis shared, "In the second half, we're going to definitely see way more Regina. There is going to be a lot of Regina, in fact. There's going to be more with her and Robin Hood, and we have not seen the last of Zelena, so I think all of those stories are going to continue to play out over the second half."
The co-creators of the series also shared about the concept of the underworld. In "Once Upon A Time" Season 5 Episode 11, the mid-season finale showed Emma asking Mr. Gold to take her to the underworld in an attempt to save Hook. Carter Matt shared that Horowitz and Kitsis pointed out that the underworld is not hell but instead is a place for people with unfinished business.
They also said that there are a lot of unfinished business so the upcoming episodes will be about emotional closure. Reportedly, Cora, Peter Pan, and Cruella will be coming back.
