While OnePlus has recently launched the OnePlus 2, new leaks and rumors have started as to possible specs and display of the OnePlus 3. It is speculated to bear similarities on the appearance with its predecessors but could also feature upgraded specs under the hood.

The OnePlus 3 could be one of the flagship killers for 2016 as it is rumored to house the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC. But according to Pocket Now, the inclusion of the latest SoC is not surprising for the brand that also included the formerly most latest Snapdragon 810 for their OnePlus 2 device.

As reported by Archy Newsy, the new handset is rumored to look like its predecessors, the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X morphed into one phone. It is also rumored to stick with an quad HD display of 1440x2560 although other reports suggest that it could be released with 1920x1080 screen resolution.

While it is still unconfirmed whether OnePlus 3 will also have a full metal casing as is the trend in handsets nowadays, International Business Times reported that it could boast a different design with its speakers rumored to be missing in its rear side, and is rumored to be placed in the front with its new design.

No details were speculated about its other features such as the RAM, internal storage, camera, and others, but like its predecessors it could feature the most recent specs for a lesser price as well. With the successful release of OnePlus 2, it is speculated that the OnePlus 3 could be a powerhouse device as well that could be a big hit.

It is important to note however, that these leaked information about the OnePlus 3 have not been confirmed yet by the Chinese firm, and thus must be treated with a grain of salt. Like the time of release of its forerunners, the new handset is heavily speculated to be released mid-2016.
