Cloud Imperium Games' Star Citizen is still on its way to being officially released, but the good news just keeps coming. Being one title that has a huge fan base to back it up, things are looking rather well for Star Citizen.

According to Crowd Fund Insider, one of the most intriguing facts that Star Citizen has would be the amazingly popular crowd-funding in which many patrons of the series have already allocated drastic amounts to. More importantly, the said program is said to be for the future enhancement of Star Citizen, and now, the mark has indeed been reached.

IGN delivered that Star Citizen has currently went overboard with $100 million worth of crowd-funding, which is basically from one million supporters of the title. This was confirmed only a notable number of days after developer Cloud Imperium games has declared the next biggest phase in the metamorphosis of Star Citizen, which is essentially the Alpha 2.0 that many fans have waited quite some time for.

As there has been over a million backers jotted down back in October 2015, Cloud Imperium Games has seen that tendency for the gamers to be rewarded as they played the most important part in its existence. The Alpha 2.0 update promises that players will get to explore the entirety of Crusader, which is a new planet that comes with three moons, as well as three distinct stations.

As further elaborated by PC Gamer, the planet will have eight new Comm Array and research missions as well as one exploration mission wherein more than twenty random encounters can be seen with a combination of threats and allies.

Some of the missions under the Alpha 2.0 of Star Citizen promise shuffled searches for lost wrecks, which essentially hits the main point of the exploration theme. Fans can expect first person action combat systems, new ships and flight modes for the said expansion. Keep posted for more updates on the Cloud Imperium Games masterpiece.
