Making this big announcement was easy. All it took for Hampton was to post a photo of her entire family on her Instagram account and the rest was history. The photo was posted late last month with a caption, "So much to be thankful for, but this year we are most grateful for the expansion of our family!! Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! #ITSABOY." Alongside this, the 38-year-old actress used the #ITSABOY hashtag to announce the gender of the baby.
Last Wednesday, December 9, Hampton attended the premiere of the musical "If/Then" at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, CA. At the event, her growing baby bump was undeniable. She is set to deliver the baby in May 2016 and already, she is looking forward to meet her little man.
This is Hampton's second pregnancy with her producer/actor husband, Daren Dukes. She first gave birth to a daughter in January 2014, whom they named Cai MyAnna who will be turning 2 years old next month. After giving birth to her daughter, Hampton was interviewed where she opened up about the joy she experienced of being a new mom. With a little one on the way, Hampton will surely relive all those experiences and be proud of this new stage in her life.
Hampton plays the role of Veronica Fisher on "Shameless," a comedy drama series produced by Showtime. The series is set to return for its sixth season on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
