The batshit crazy family of the Gallaghers will once again turn the viewers’ world upside down this winter. Showtime has released the first official trailer and keyart of its latest sixth season of "Shameless" which will run for 12 weeks beginning on Sunday, Jan. 10th.
As reported by Deadline, the first look-clip has revealed that "Shameless" season six will kick off with a time jump. The Jan 10th premiere will pickup a few months after the happenings in season 5's finale, where the Gallaghers are seen facing several shifts in their lives.
Variety has shared the 1970s-inspired keyart of the new season while also revealing the slew of changes each member of the Galllagher clan will face in the new stretch of episodes.
As previewed, Frank (William H. Macy) still bears the title of "the worst matriarch" that ever lived, Debbie (Emma Kinney) is still confused if she's pregnant, Lip's inappropriate relationnship with his professor is still ongoing, Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) is found looking for more trouble and Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is as always, trying to keep it together.
The Gallaghers have definitely seen it all: the good and the worst of life. Now that they have reached another chapter in their lives, viewers should expect for the outrageous gang to find themselves in unchartered territory.
The upcoming season of "Shameless" will tackle the storyline of the Gallaghers as they move forward while also discovering that they may also be growing apart in the process, TV.com wrote.
What’s more, fans should lookout for the same-old yet incredibly hilarious arcs for Fiona and co. Apparently, Frank has become religious in the new season, which is clearly a storyline that will draw some good laughs.
Starring Emmy Rossum and William H. Macy, "Shameless" follows the extraordinary lives of the Gallagher family in Chicago. As they struggle to keep their family together in the midst of chaos, they discover a different side of them in every season that concludes. The latest season is slated to debut on Sunday, Jan. 10 on Showtime.
