Following the release of OnePlus 2 in August, the Chinese tech giant is believed to launch its mini version next. The OnePlus 2 Mini is speculated to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and more competitive specs.

According to Phone Arena, OnePlus has been slowly growing their device lineup, and it seems like it may have another phone on the way. This time, it is aimed at those who think screens don't need to be too big. There isn't a lot of information available, but the newest device from OnePlus has surfaced in GeekBench scan history.

Pocket-lint reported that the OnePlus 2 Mini was seen on GFX Bench listed as an "unknown" OnePlus handset. Since the screen size is registered at 4.6-inch it is assumed to be the company's first mini handset.

That 4.6-inch display is predicted to be running a 1920 x 1080 resolution for 479ppi. With a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU coupled with a 4 GB of RAM, the said device may also be armed with a huge 64 GB of internal storage.

As for the cameras, the mini version of OnePlus 2 is expected to house a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel snappers that are capable of UHD 4K video and run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.

As a refresher, Latin Post noted that the predecessor, OnePlus 2, comes with a 5.5-inch display. Particularly, it is armed with an LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920p screen resolution. The high-end smartphone from the Chinese tech company has a pixel density of 401 ppi with a screen that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

It is engineered with a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset and is available in two variant which differ in RAM and internal memory: the 16GB OnePlus 2 with 3 GB of RAM and the 64GB model with 4 GB RAM.

As for the device's camera, it has a 13-megapixel lens with laser autofocus and dual-LED flash, as well as a 5-megapixel front snapper.

With OnePlus known for its low cost to high spec ratio, an expensive pricetag is not expected in this smartphone. After the tech giant recently boasted its ability to produce a good looking handset, it is also assumed for the OnePlus 2 Mini to have a decent build quality.
