Paramount Pictures released the action packed trailer of the film "Star Trek Beyond" last December 14. The third movie of the film series has mixed reviews from its hardcore fans and casual fans alike.
Extreme Tech explained that the trailer looks like a "Fast and the Furious" movie. It's understandable because they both have the same director, Justin Lin. They added taht they se kick-boxing aliens, Kirk on a motorcycle and what look like micro-bombers strafing an unknown planet. They also commented that the movie is continuing to the worst and seems like the producer JJ Abrams has no any plans on changing it.
The obvious plot of the movie is seen in the trailer. The Guardian remarked the "no ship" and "no crew" on an unfriendly planet surrounded by weird creatures and ships that are out to get them is going to happen again. They add that the influence of the previous director now producer, Adams is still very evident and that is actually a good thing.
MoviePilot commented that it seems pleasing visually and it looks like it is a really great movie. They stayed with the style that JJ. Abrams started in the first film. But they added that Paramount might have other plans regarding "Star Trek Beyond". Furthermore, they stated that Paramount Pictures is focusing on comedy and the music and it was like the same style with how Marvel did "Guardians Of The Galaxy".
Many displeased fans are voicing out their distress in the comments section of YouTube on the official trailer of the movie. Some comments are asking why would the film chose a song like that to put in the trailer, it made it seems like a comedy film when it is not and where is the real trailer. Another one said somebody saw the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, implying that it looks very much like it.
Fans are definitely not happy with the trailer but there are other fans that are excited for the movie. Whose side are you on? The contented side or the unsatisfied side?
